A little bit about the invitations:
Jessica and Timothy wanted to incorporate the look and feel of Otomi prints, their love for Luchadors and all things wrestling, and the beauty of their amazing venue on South Padre Island. When I suggested we screen print their invitations, to keep the colors crazy bright, and add a little edge painting to really make them stand out, they were all in! I custom illustrated this beautiful pattern inspired by Mexican folk art, incorporating flowers and birds in colors that blended perfectly with their colors inside their venue, Casa Mariposa! (Fun fact, the middle flower on the invitation is the same shape as the lace in the middle of Jessica’s gown!)
We went a little wild with the RSVP card, and included places for their guests to make song requests, leave a bit of advice, and design their own luchador masks too!
The luchador wax seal was the perfect addition to their bold blue envelopes, and we also used the wax seals in a variety of colors as part of their escort display. The white ink printing of their envelopes mixed with a patterned envelope liner added a little something special to this already fantastic suite! I also created some signature drink menus, printed on glitter and neon acrylic, along with menus that matched their invitation suite.
Jessica and Timothy, shared their passions with me (Tim proposed to Jessica while they were on a trip to Maine to meet their favorite Professional wrestler!) and I had the absolute pleasure of creating a custom invitation suite that captured their love, and their wedding day.
